Our reason for being
The F.I.F.E.S. aims to make visible ecological and social initiatives through the arts and particularly through cinema.
We advocate joy and conviviality, those of Baruch Spinoza and Ivan Illich, as well as the reliance of the sociologist Marcel Bolle de Bal, because the words of Gaston Bachelard resonate in us ” Far from it being the being that illustrates the relationship, it is the relationship that illuminates the being.
In the singular times we live in, we feel the crucial need to see the emergence ofnew narratives for a desirable future, new founding myths for the times to come.
Our present generations have become aware of their inner sovereignty and their power of creation, as well as their capacity to act and to gather.
Our role is to infuse and spread freedom of expression for a more just,sustainable and bearable world.
On the screen, the stage and the festival village, vibrates the heart of Mother Earth and all the beings that inhabit her.
Who are we?
The festival is more than ever a place of meetings, debates, reflections, opening to the world and also a place of celebration, conviviality, benevolence and knowledge.
It is also a collective of citizens aware of the importance of acting for the living, for the youth and in favor of the common good.
” We work to weave the links between cultures and generations and generations through different artistic media.
The 7th art is one of the media at the heart of our raison d’être. We wish to highlight ecological and social initiatives in order to sensitize, teach and transmit the possible and thus create new imaginary worlds that have the mission to be embodied by citizen initiatives.
