He has been involved in various aspects of the business, such as acquisitions, sales, intellectual property licensing and international co-productions, enriching the festival with his versatile expertise.
Takeo Kodera : A Diversified Career in the Film Industry
His career in production is punctuated by a number of noteworthy projects. He was co-producer ofRyuichi Sakamoto: CODA“A documentary on the famous composer, premiered at the 74th Venice International Film Festival. He also contributed to “NAMIYATHE MIRACLE AT NAMIYA GENERAL STORE”, a China-Japan co-production based on the best-selling novel “THE MIRACLE AT NAMIYA GENERAL STORE” by Keigo HIGASHINO, expanding its footprint in international cinema.
His most recent work,“SERPENT’S PATH“, is a Franco-Japanese co-production directed by the renowned Kiyoshi KUROSAWA, starring Ko SHIBASAKI and Damien BONNARD. This film bears witness to its ongoing commitment to meaningful, cross-border film projects, bringing a global perspective to our festival.
