Asgeir Helgestad is an award-winning Norwegian director, cinematographer, writer and producer. He has over thirty years' experience in documentary and photography. His work reflects a deep sensitivity and empathy for nature. His recent documentary Queen Without Land (2018) received over thirty international awards. Her photography has also won awards, including Wildlife Photographer of the Year.

Participants in his workshop will explore how visual storytelling can mobilize both the emotions and the mind in the face of environmental and climate issues. Using film excerpts and time for analysis, the workshop aims to deepen understanding of how nature stories can inspire care, responsibility and action. Asgeir will share his professional experience in Norway and the Arctic, followed by time for questions and answers.
