Cineum Cannes stands out first and foremost for its architecture, designed by Rudy Ricciotti. A master craftsman of concrete, the architect is also the creator of monumental works in the cultural sector, such as the Mucem in Marseille, the Musée Jean Cocteau in Menton and Chanel's Manufacture de la Mode building in Paris. Located at the western entrance to Cannes, the building forms an impressive 9,400 m2 monolith made of local white concrete. Its fractal facade, pierced by rifts, balances the brutality of the material with the finesse of the forms. Covered in multiple facets symbolizing the technical and creative plurality of the film industry, it features a combination of fiber-reinforced concrete panels and woven mesh. The concrete grid that covers and protects the terrace lends the building lightness and elegance.
