Ojos de Agua, Freeing Chile’s waters

Ojos de Agua, Freeing Chile’s waters

Marion Esnault, Marcelo Lara
Documentary - 65 min - Chile, France - 2025
VO in Spanish, subtitled in French

In Chile, drought and water shortages have been hitting hard for the past 15 years. The cause is climate change, but above all the privatization of water sources instituted by Pinochet's constitution and its neoliberal model. As political upheavals shake the Andean country since the social revolt of 2019, Alejo and Ivanna are fighting for access to drinking water and an end to the monopolization of water by intensive agriculture and copper mining.
