Visit FIFES showcases international films to highlight ecological and social initiatives.

The international competition featured fourteen documentaries from all over the world: Japan, Finland, Spain, France, Canada, Kiribati, Switzerland, USA, Cambodia, New Zealand, Germany and Norway. The aim of the films selected was to take a systemic approach to the major issues and challenges of our time: respect for life, preservation of ecosystems, access to water, food, energy, health, education, youth, culture, technology and the economy.

The men and women on the International Jury have been carefully chosen to represent both ecological and social commitment, and the world of cinema. From one edition to the next, we alternate between a president and a chairman of the jury. So, after Sophie Rabhi (France) in 2022, Emmanuel Cappellin (France) in 2023 and Delia Ackerman (Peru) in 2024, it will be James Gerard (Australia), who will preside over this year’s international competition jury.

This year, 2025, the jury has chosen five of the fourteen documentaries to receive Fifes awards. A sixth film will be awarded the Selection Committee prize.
