Director, scriptwriter, editor, producer and senior civil servant, Sani Elhadj Magori is known for his documentaries Koukan Kourcia 2 : les médiatrices (2013), Le Cri de la tourterelle (Koukan Kourcia) (2010), Notre pain capital (2008) and Pour le meilleur et pour l’oignon ! (2008).
After graduating as a State Engineer in Saharan agronomy in Algeria, he worked as a journalist for various French and Nigerian magazines and newspapers. In 2008, he completed a Master’s 2 in creative documentary filmmaking at the Université Gaston Berger in Saint-Louis (Senegal), before moving into filmmaking. His second documentary, Pour le meilleur et pour l’oignon!was awarded the Prix Jean Rouch at the African Documentary Film Forum in Niamey in 2008.
Since February 2018, Sani Elhadj Magori has been Director General of the Centre National de la Cinématographie du Niger (CNCN).

Takeo Kodera
Asia – Japan
For almost 30 years in the entertainment industry, Takeo Kodera has been involved in a variety of projects: acquisitions, sales, intellectual property licensing and international co-productions.
During his career in production, he was co-producer of the documentary filmproducer of the documentary film Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda dedicated to by an internationally renowned composer, and premiered at the 74th Venice International Film Festival. He also co-produced the Sino-Japanese film, Namiyabased on the best-selling novel TheMiracles at Namiya General Store by Keigo Higashino.
His latest film is Serpent’s Path (a Franco-Japanese co-production directed by renowned Japanese filmmaker Kiyoshi Kurosawa and starring Ko Shibasaki and Damien Bonnard.
