In the autumn of their lives, a group of photographers return to the Documerica Project, a gigantic photographic survey of the American environment commissioned by the government in the early 70s, at the height of ecological awareness. Embodying the moment of truth of a country that had reached the end of its American Dream, Documerica’s images bear witness to a failed rendezvous with history. Beyond that, they speak to the world we live in today.
