La Marche Océanne
La Marche Océanne
Hosted by Virginie Perrot of the association La Fresque Océane
The Marche Océane is a guided walk in the open air, to discover the underwater world, marvel at its biodiversity and wonder about our place in the web of life.
It’s a 5.5 km walk where every meter covered represents 2 m of depth ascended. You’ll start in the Mariana Trench at a depth of 11 km to discover the abysses or hydrothermal springs, and work your way up to the hunting grounds of sperm whales, or share the excitement of life in the heart of coral reefs.
At each stop, you’ll encounter mysterious, little-known aquatic landscapes, with their own universe and stories…
The Ocean Walk is a collective and individual experience of connection and exploration of the sea and ocean.
Virginie will also host the first Round Table of the Village des Initiatives.
