A FESTIVAL THAT BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER
After spending an hour and a half or two hours together in the darkness of a cinema, a bond is created between spectators. Beyond pleasure and personal interest, after the screening, a conversation, a debate, can open up between people who sometimes have nothing in common.
Cinema brings people together, and the FIFES brings them together around an essential question. Is there anything more important than the future of our planet? I don’t think so.
The sky, the trees and the sea are our common heritage. Ecological awareness has begun. Doctors are recommending an animal presence for the health of many patients. Gasoline-powered cars will disappear.
Organic farming is on the rise.
FIFES is admired for its non-partisan commitment to promoting the defense of global humanity. It seeks out and discovers films from all over the world that translate this concern onto the big screen, appealing to all audiences. And the festival jury is made up of five members representing the five continents.
Water is the theme of this year’s festival. Water is essential to the survival of all species, including humans. The oceans, of course, and freshwater, a fine adjective. Without water, a human being can survive at best three days.
We share the team’s enthusiasm and optimism. As for its work, it deserves just one word: bravo!
We look forward to seeing you from May 27 to June 1.
