A festival of wonder, hope and action!

The world as it is leaves us no respite and never ceases to worry. Climate, geopolitical and economic crises are shaking up our certainties and our daily lives. Naturally optimistic, I see the current challenges as an opportunity to reinvent ourselves.

The good thing about times of crisis is that they force us to let go of certainties, to think differently. In a word, to innovate.

I’m confident in the future because I know I can count on people and events like the International Ecological and Social Film Festival, which embodies this hope, combining wonder and action.

Now in its 4th year, the competition aims to resist the prevailing gloom and raise awareness through films and encounters. Water, agriculture, society, energy, health, education, youth, technology… the issues addressed are many and varied, with the aim of stimulating reflection and enabling people to co-create the world of tomorrow.

The Département des Alpes-Maritimes is particularly proud to support this inspiring event, which echoes the community’s DNA of solidarity, as well as the GREEN Deal and SMART Deal policies it has been pursuing for many years.
I’ve always been determined to build a sustainable Alpes-Maritimes, one that strives to leave no one by the wayside and provides future generations with the tools they need to be a land of the future.

However, this is a collective battle, so I salute the organizing team of the International Festival of Ecological and Social Films for their unfailing action.
Alone we go faster, together we go further. So let’s get mobilized and work hand in hand for a sustainable, fairer and more united future.
