Introduced to the practice of hiking and the discovery of natural environments during their school year, twenty-two 5th graders from the “Les Muriers” Priority Education Network middle school in Cannes La Bocca are about to attempt a first in the Alpes-Maritimes: the Grande Traversée du Mercantour. This 17-day, 200-kilometer adventure is recounted in this one-hour documentary, which combines close-up immersion with the apprentice hikers, meetings with mountain professionals and an exchange with Nepalese ultra-trail legend Dawa Sherpa.
