In a world facing unprecedented challenges linked to the climate crisis, sustainable management of natural resources is becoming an absolute priority. Water occupies a central place among these essentials, being both vital to all life on Earth and particularly sensitive to environmental change.
Faced with these challenges, it is essential to set up research and collaboration initiatives to understand and preserve this vital resource. This is the background to the creation of a partnership chair dedicated to water in the Alpes-Maritimes region. This chair, the fruit of an initiative by the Alpes-Maritimes department and a collaboration with Université Côte d'Azur and local authorities, aims to push back the frontiers of knowledge and propose innovative solutions for sustainable water management in this area between sea and mountains.
