The local struggle against the planned A69 freeway linking Castres to Toulouse has been going on for many years. Since 2021, it has taken on a new dimension, not only because of the first concrete signs of its construction (bitumen plants, felling of trees, start of work…) but above all because of the multiplication of collectives opposing this aberrant freeway project which is determined to fracture the territory.
