DESCRIPTION:Bringing the story to life on screen:\nThe role of the director of photography \nYanqiu Fei is a Chinese cinematographer\, director and screenwriter currently based in France. Yanqiu Fei's cinematography credits include the feature documentary Last Year of Darkness\, winner of the NEXT:WAVE prize at CPH:DOX and the Cannes Doc Award at Visions du Réel.  \nIn this workshop\, participants will discover how a cinematographer constructs the vision of a film\, from preparation to artistic collaboration\, in both fiction and documentary. Drawing on film extracts\, the workshop will reflect on the ethics of the gaze and cinematographic practice.
