SUMMARY:Film and photography workshop with Yanqiu Fei
DESCRIPTION:Bringing the story to life on screen:\nThe role of the director of photography \nYanqiu Fei is a Chinese cinematographer\, director and screenwriter currently based in France. Yanqiu Fei's cinematography credits include the feature documentary Last Year of Darkness\, winner of the NEXT:WAVE prize at CPH:DOX and the Cannes Doc Award at Visions du Réel.  \nIn this workshop\, participants will discover how a cinematographer constructs the vision of a film\, from preparation to artistic collaboration\, in both fiction and documentary. Drawing on film extracts\, the workshop will reflect on the ethics of the gaze and cinematographic practice. Yanqiu will also share his professional experience\, followed by a question-and-answer session.   \nObjective: understand the role of the cinematographer and the development of a film from script to screen\nLanguage: English\, translated into French\nAudience: all\, including young filmmakers
