DESCRIPTION:Les Fifres et Tambours de La Roquette-sur-Var and the Académie Provençale \nLes Fifres et Tambours de La Roquette-sur-Var is a folk group that perpetuates the musical traditions of Nice and Provence.\nThrough traditional tunes and rhythms played on fife\, drum and bass drum\, they share and pass on a culture that spans generations.\nTheir music blends history\, conviviality and tradition\, while adapting to today's events to keep this local heritage alive and well.\nThe Académie Provençale's mission is to maintain the customs of Provence through dance\, song\, music\, costume\, language and cuisine throughout eastern and coastal Provence.\nMusic\, dance and traditional costumes will be the order of the day at the FIFES opening ceremony\, thanks to these two local ensembles.
