The death of Clara Skidmore, widow of the late Jonah Skidmore, who predeceased her a number of years ago, in Springhill, occurred in Lowell, Mass., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wallace Harrison on Thursday, January 5, entering into her rest after great suffering at the age of 80 years.
She was formerly Miss Fife of Canaan, Cumberland County and was a woman greatly beloved for her mobility of character and Christian life. She enjoyed the gift of friendship to a remarkable degree - a woman whom it may well be said: "Her children rise up and call her blessed.".".

He was a retired carpenter and lumberman. For the past two years, he was a resident of Hillcrest Manor, Truro. Surviving are sisters, Clara Bell Pettigrew, Economy; Lillian Duffy, Parrsboro; Vina Ehler, Thorburne. He was predeceased by sisters, Mae, Rose, Sophia, Mary; brothers, Corbie, Reginald, Roland, Lemuel. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, funeral 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Eric Miner officiating. Burial at a later date in Economy Cemetery. Donations to any charity."
